I get up quite early and tidy up a little because Rick is coming over to look at our fridge and freezer. For some time they have been almost constantly running, seemingly unable to get to the right temperature, and as such, they are a real drain on our batteries.
Rick arrives and after checking them over, says that the pressure is not right and tops it up. Almost immediately, the top of the freezer becomes covered with a thin layer of ice and they turn off. Thanks, Rick. Problem solved.
As it’s yet another day of sunshine and showers, Mike and I spend the day hunched over our computers. Nick arrives during the afternoon for a chat and embarrassingly, catches me watching “Holby City” via our Slingbox. It could have been worse - “Eastenders” has just finished. Luckily, Nick has lived out here so long that he hasn’t heard of the programme and therefore doesn’t realise just how low my televisual taste is! By the end of the afternoon we decide that we need a treat for the evening and book ourselves a table at The Restaurant at Leverick Bay.
On the way there, we join the usual suspects at the Jumbies Bar; Nick, Monica, her sister Linda and niece Kaya, Rick and Kim. Before we know it, we are late for our table and rush out.

Our meal is lovely. Having promised ourselves that we will only have starters, we are so tempted by the menu that we give in. Mike has tuna sushi followed by duck, and I have pasta with raclette and gruyere cheeses and white truffles followed by lobster. Delicious.
Just before we leave the restaurant, the heavens open and another tropical downpour blows through. It stops shortly after, and we splatter our way through puddles all the way back to the boat.
Hi Mike, you need to get a grip mate.....
ReplyDeleteLobster with white truffles for the galley slave, must be easy money on this chartering thing you do....!
